Hello Funnels
The
from fashion week to funnels in 11-short years plus a tonne of lessons along the way!
…before she got totally burnt out and shut it all down in 2016.
But even as a “shoe money project” (aka side-hustle) it was always treated as a real business rather than a hobby, which worked pretty darn well as DDG became Kate’s full-time gig in under 12-months, and continued to grow to have over 500,000 readers a month, with multiple 6-figure revenue and 5 staff…
Kate, our head nerd around here, started her first online business, It was a fashion newsletter called Drop Dead Gorgeous Daily.
We think it’s pretty hilarious we technically started as a “fashion blog” (and now all live in yoga pants!)
Kate called it her “shoe money project”, because she started DDG to occasionally afford some of the amazing shoes she wrote about all day long as a terribly-paid fashion journalist.
(yes, there was internet back then, so rude!)
Way back in 2007...
Then Kate did it all again with her second business, Secret Bloggers’ Business, where Kate discovered her true love of marketing automation and online education, which in 2018 turned into this business right here, HelloFunnels, with zero radioactive spiders required.
Kate even went of Safari with Richard Branson dressed as a Bumble Bee (don’t ask!).
We may have also:
won a few awards
created a nail polish collection with revlon
worked with some of the biggest stars in the industry
and at least a few tears shed
56 site rebrands
a million coffees drunk
